How much can I expect to save monthly? Yearly?
While most customers may achieve significant savings on the ComEd RRTP Program, your net savings depends on your ability to limit your central A/C's usage during the periodic high price periods (typically very hot summer weekday afternoons). Usage and savings varies greatly from customer to customer. Back to top |
How can I choose a Price Activation plan?
It's simple: Just login to your ComEd RRTP account at www.theWattSpot.com and choose Load Guard from the Current Programs Tab. For a cooler home environment, choose the Blue (14 cents) option. For the more environmentally-friendly option, select the Green (10 cents) level. Back to top |
Can I change my Price Activation plan after it is set?
Yes, you can always change your settings for the next day. You always have three settings to choose from: Off, Green, or Blue. Used with real-time pricing, Load Guard helps you lock-in your savings on your electricity bill each year...automatically. Whenever the hourly electric price hits your target price level - either 10¢ or 14¢ - your central air conditioner switches to a conservation mode for a two-hour period of time. Back to top |
